Last Friday, 10/10/2025, a so-called Crypto Flash Crash happened.

Crypto traders were wiped out. Annihilated. To the tune of 19 billion greenbacks.

Those were the headlines.

Although, as always, there were some caveats. With everything in life, there’s nuance. Context.

If you simply held your coins (no futures, no leverage, no other high-risk plays), you were mostly fine. You didn’t lose 99% of your portfolio in a matter of minutes.

But if you happened to be on the more gambling-ish side of things, believing it would all keep going up and up, and actually bet long then, tough luck. Even tougher if you’d added leverage to the mix. Liquidation galore.
